Cross Bred Cows are
breed crossed for various reasons. Typically cattle are
intentionally cross bred over time to develop the best
qualities of each breed, reduce size, etc. We occasionally
create a cross breed, for example with miniature dairy
cows to increase milk production or to create a dual
purpose animal, milk and meat.

All of these cows will be registered as
cross bred Jersey Cows. They are highly desirable because as a rule they have the
best qualities of both breeds and as such produce
fantastic beef as well as being excellent milk producers.

is a big thing right now to cross Devon and Jersey dairy
cows because they want the Jerseys to use less grain and
yield the same amount of milk. |

/Jersey cross. Her mother is "Violet" a registered
mini Jersey.
I bought her mother, Violet, a jersey
already bred to a Devon. Sorry folks
She is not for sale.
